What is a Prosthodontist? A prosthodontist is an expert in the aesthetic restoration and replacement of teeth, making smiles look beautiful and function as they should. Prosthodontists act as the co-ordinator for complex treatment plans. Working with general dentists, dental specialists and other health care consultants, they customise solutions for patients’ dental needs. Dr Le Thanh, in order to become an Australian board-registered prosthodontist, received an additional 3 years of full-time training after dental school. He completed this training at the University of Sydney.
